Manifesto of Sorts

Hi there, hey. Here’s a Robe Mom selfie while I finish my coffee. I don’t do selfies and the last picture I have of me (besides with the plant) is from last fall. This is what you get.

I’ve learned a lot this year, mostly about myself, and mostly that I can’t show up anywhere as anything but wholly me. I’ve been learning to be comfortable with who “me” is, and thank God for good friends and good women and a good church fam that all really only encourage that way of being. I love them, and feel loved by them. I hope you have people in your life who help you to know how known and loved you are by God so you can know and love yourself too.

I’m just a stay at home mom learning how to homeschool, but I care about a lot of things. Mostly people and helping them feel seen and helping all of us love better. But I won’t tell you how to do it, I’ll just keep working on me and sharing what I’m learning. I do that in my Stories on Instagram. That’s the easiest way for me to show up online right now, so you can find me there. The introvert who would rather live under a rock in me also finds the whole concept of what I post disappearing after 24 hours appealing.

I am not about striving but just about doing the work right in front of me, and right now that work is in my family and community. I know a platform is needed for getting published, and maybe that’s a long way off for me. And that’s ok.

I want you to know I’m really glad you’re here. You are loved, and you matter more than you know. Who can you say that to today?
